23.6.2010 - Small updates overtime

There were hardly any updates to the site recently that were much news-worthy. I fixed typos here, some design glitches there. Besides, I moved the site to a new server, which was no problem except for some problem importing the database. I obviously made some mistake regarding the string encoding because all special characters were replaced by questionmarks, which I fixed.

Some good news is that my provider 1&1 upgraded me for free to twice as much HDD space and twice as much RAM. That was cool. And I did not even had to set server up again, which I kind of expected. :-)

20.2.2009 - Null object reference on first start of AsUnit's TestRunner in FlashDevelop

Today, one of the readers of my blog found out that strictly following my tutorial for setting up AsUnit in FlashDevelop won't get you anywhere. There is a funny problem in FlashDevelop: access to the stage object is denied in all classes except the main class you start the application with.

Last summer, when I fought through all that, I must have fixed the problem but forgot to mention it in the tutorial (neither did the tutorial I used back then). Well, I did that now and I hope it helps.

19.2.2009 - New (or rather old) music track added

One of my friends at Artifical Hair Bros. (Zak McKracken 2) asked me if I could dig out an old track I made years ago. It's a Turrican-ish track. By accident I actually found the first part of it a couple of days later. I added it to my music-tracks as "Jump And Run Game Music". Enjoy. ;)

I recently published a couple of blog entries on our company blog dealing with the basics of programming:

A technically inclined software developer might find it a useful read. So, head on to the Rough Sea Games blog to check it out, if you like. Using the tag "as3" should take you to most of my posts:

20.6.2008 - Javascript Pixel Canvas

In my Blog I collect some projects I made that might even be useful for other people ... or rather not ... like the new one. It's just a little gimmick: an animation in pure Javascript. I wanted to use it for the titlebar of my website but since it's using up to much resources I decided not to do so. Still, I did not just want to throw it in the bin ...
